Homemade Funnel Cake & Strawberry Sauce

If ever I am at a state fair or carnival I make it my mission to find a funnel cake stand and won't leave without indulging in a big plate of funnel cake with strawberry sauce and ice cream on top!
Everyone has their weaknesses and funnel cake is definitely mine!

Attending fairs and carnivals are rare in occurrences so I make my own at home whenever I have the craving!  It's actually quite simple!

Here is my how to YouTube video and you can make homemade funnel cake and strawberry sauce at the comfort of your home too!

I bought my funnel at a craft store Michael's.

If you don't want to purchase a funnel, no worries!  You can always place your batter in a large zip loc bag and cut the corner and squeeze out the batter onto the heated oil pan.

Who knew strawberry sauce was so simple to make?  Stawberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice and a pinch of salt in a saucepan heated for 10 minutes and you're good to go!  Complete strawberry delight!

A 9.5" frying pan is perfect for making smaller sized funnel cakes.
I also recommend tongs  when you flip the funnel cake, it prevents painful oil splatters!

In less than 10 minutes you are ready to enjoy!

Please check my YouTube video  for ingredients.

Thank you so much for reading!
Happy Friday and have an amazing weekend!
My friday is great so far!  I purchased a new Canon T3i camera and I can't wait to get it in the mail and take beautiful pictures of my cats!  LOL!
