Delicious and Easy Caprese Pasta Salad Recipe,ELF Cosmetics, Olay Regenerist, Costume Jewelry

       Hi hi friends!  I hope you weekend is going well for you all!  I had a hair modeling gig planned this weekend for the Long Beach International Salon and Spa Expo, but the person in charge of the event was too last minute on me and I opted out.  They were also going to cut my hair and I am unsure about this.  Also, because I am not agency represented they weren't going to pay me for being there for 8 hours, I'd just receive free hair products, but honestly I like the grocery store shampoos like Dove and Pantene, even dollar Vo5 and Suave shampoos and conditioners work well for me.  Hehehe!  I'd rather spend my day with Justin and my kitties. :)  One thing I love to do on the weekend is cook something that will last for days.   I wanted to share an easy and delightfully delicious pasta caprese salad that I think some of you may enjoy trying.  It's great for dinner parties and it's quite easy to make.  I often utilize www.allrecipe.com for all my recipe needs when I'm feeling like trying a new recipe.  Justin and I stumbled upon this recipe a couple of months ago and have had this pasta caprese salad with broiled salmon, grilled chicken breasts, and sometimes even turkey meatballs from the Trader Joe's frozen section--this caprese pasta salad dish goes with everything!  I hope you friends give it a try, it's super duper simple!

Here is the recipe. I took this recipe directly from www.allrecipe.com, one of my favorite recipe idea site! 

Ingredients:

1 (16 ounce) package fusilli pasta 1 cup fresh basil leaves 1/4 cup grated Parmesan or Romano cheese 1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted (optional) 2 cloves garlic Blender

1/4 cup olive oil 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese 4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into strips salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

1.	Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling, stir in the fusilli, and return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta has cooked through, but is still firm to the bite, about 12 minutes. Drain.
2.	Place basil, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, pine nuts, and garlic into a blender or food processor; cover and chop to a coarse paste. Add the olive oil in a slow, steady stream. Continue processing until a soft paste has formed. Set pesto aside.
3.	Combine the cooked pasta, tomatoes, 3 tablespoons Parmesan, mozzarella, and pesto in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Cover bowl, refrigerate to chill for 45 minutes, and serve. I purchased some items from Target last weekend and wanted to share. I am running out of Egyptian Magic and I wanted to try something new so I decided to give the Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream a try and I am so happy I did--this is a fantastic moisturizer!   After using this moisturizer for a week my skin is softer and it even feels firmer and so very soft!  I apply this cream before every night before bed.   I have been on the look out for affordable yoga pants that fit and I was searching the Target kid's apparel section and found these yoga pants in a kid size Medium and they fit me perfectly!  Another bonus is that these were incredibly cheap--less than $7.00! I found this ELF (Eyes Lips Face Cosmetics) Kiss n Tell box of goodies at an end-cap near the pharmacy department.  It was misplaced, but I'm so happy it was there--this was on sale for only $2.50!    At the dollar spot I found these cute Valentine's Day flower pots and had to have them!  Hehehe!  I hope to share with you friends its progress. :) Justin went to an art auction the other day and a bag of costume jewelry did not get a bid so he bid on this bag of goodies for me last minute.  How thoughtful of him!  I started making my own jewelry for fun and I am definitely going to break these old pieces to create new ones. :)    I am late on my January Favorites YouTube video, but I hope to film it tomorrow *crosses fingers* and have it up soon.  My new job is taking up all my time and by the time I get home all I want to do is sleep.  I know you friends can relate! Ab Circle Pro

     For a long while I was debating on whether I should buy the Reebox Easy Tones sneakers that is supposed to tone the buns and thighs while walking or the Ab Circle Pro.  I finally decided my abs needed the most work, plus those Reebox  Easy Tones shoes are pretty unsightly so after days of debating I finally purchased the Ab Circle Pro on Ebay.  I've got to admit I am a sucker for all things as seen on tv--those informercials are so convincing!  I will definitely tell you friends all about my experience and if it really works.  If I'm brave enough I will share before and after photos too!  The Ab Circle Pro also helps tone the buns and thighs.  I'm definitely excited! 

 

Modeling for Ziba Beauty's Grand Opening Event in LA, DSK Chandalier Earrings

       Hi hi friends!  I had a modeling gig for Ziba Beauty last week.  Ziba Beauty had a grand opening event and I got to model in the event.  I am so grateful they still use me for modeling even after the fashion show back in September ended. I was so happy to see some of my friends from the pageant again.  They are so much fun!

         The gorgeous gal on the left is Roxy.  She is a model and actress.  She has her own Disney TV Show Playhouse 123 and she was in Entourage.  She is sooooo incredibly beautiful and nice too! :)

    Here is Oscar, the best makeup artist ever doing Daisy's makeup. :)  Daisy and I spent all day together.  She's so wonderful!  She has the prettiest hair and the longest lashes I have ever seen!  She is so incredibly beautiful and I totally see her in a shampoo ad because her hair is just perfect! :)

    Here are pictures of the makeup done by Ziba Beauty makeup artist Oscar!  He is so nice!  He says that he wants to use me as one of the "Asian girl" faces in a photo shoot for Ziba Beauty.  That would totally rock my socks if that really happened!  I would be the happiest girl in the whole wide world!  I am crossing my fingers for this to become a reality.  

  

 

The models were able to pick the colors of their Indian outfits and I choose pink to match with my DSK Chandalier earrings! :)  I never managed to arrange a date and time with a photographer for a photo shoot wearing my DSK jewelry so I sent Steph some pictures taken in the car.  Yikes!  These aren't the best pictures and half of my face is in the shade, but I hope these will be okay for now until I get better pictures.  I hope to save up for a better quality camera for YouTube videos and pictures, but my priority for the moment is saving up for Lumineers or Invisalign to finally get my teeth fixed. :)

These pair of heels run SMALL.  I am size 6 and these Qupid heels are a size 6, but my TOES are slightly sticking out.  Hehehe!

This particular shoe runs larger than a true size 6 for me and it slips off when I walk.  I love the style of these shoes and I can totally see myself wearing this with anything and everything, if only it didn't slip ever step I took.  LOL!  I may have to exchange these
